AgentStream is a service that runs in the statusline of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI). It fetches news headlines and serves AI-generated background music. It is operated by the team behind Chainlore.
The free tier provides 50 news headlines per device per day and 1 hour of music per device per day. No signup, no payment, no email collected. By using the free tier you agree to these terms.
The $5/month unlimited tier removes daily limits. Payment is processed via one of:
Stripe subscriptions auto-renew monthly until canceled. Crypto payments grant a 30-day window of unlimited access and do not auto-renew.
The music tracks served via the AgentStream daemon are generated by us using a commercial AI music API. The tracks are owned by AgentStream with full commercial rights — you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to listen to them as part of using the service. You may not redistribute, remix, or commercially exploit the music outside the AgentStream interface.
News headlines are aggregated from publicly available RSS feeds and APIs. Copyright in each headline and its target article belongs to the original publisher. AgentStream displays only the headline (typically 5-20 words) and links to the publisher's URL. We do not store or redistribute full article text.
The @agentstreams/cli npm package is MIT-licensed. You're free to inspect, fork, and modify the source. The server side is closed-source for v0.1.
AgentStream is provided "as is." We aim for high uptime but make no SLA commitments. If our API goes down, your daemon falls back to cached content; news refreshes resume when the API recovers.
We may terminate your access (paid or free) for violations of acceptable use. You may terminate at any time via agentstream uninstall on your machine and (optionally) requesting account deletion via email.
These terms may be updated. Material changes will be announced via the marquee itself and on this page. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

AgentStream shares infrastructure with Chainlore but is a separate product with its own terms. Chainlore's terms do not apply to AgentStream usage and vice versa.
